National Park Service seeks public comments on historic places nominations

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The National Park Service (NPS) has announced that it is seeking electronic comments on the significance of properties nominated before June 22, 2024, for listing or related actions in the National Register of Historic Places. Comments should be submitted electronically by July 17, 2024.

Submissions can be sent to National_Register_Submissions@nps.gov with the subject line “Public Comment on .” For those without email access, comments may be mailed to the National Register of Historic Places at the NPS office in Washington, DC.

The properties listed are being considered for their historical significance under the criteria set forth by the National Register. The nominations were received before June 22, 2024. Comments on these nominations are encouraged but should note that personal identifying information included in comments may become publicly available.

- Denver County: Fire Station No. 3

- Otero County: Valley View-Hillcrest Cemetery

**Kansas**

- Montgomery County: Prairie Oil & Gas Building

- Caddo Parish: Cross Lake Pumping and Filtration Plant

- East Baton Rouge Parish: Old South Baton Rouge Historic District

**Mississippi**

- Hinds County: 505-507-509 North Farish Street

**Pennsylvania**

- Allegheny County: Clayton-Frick Art Museum Historic District

- Bucks County: Otto Eisenlohr and Bros Cigar Factory

- Delaware County: Sacred Heart General Hospital

- Philadelphia County: Keystone Mill; Southwark Municipal Piers

**Texas**

- Lamar County: Mt. Canaan Baptist Church

**West Virginia**

- Cabell County: 14th Street West Historic District; Marshall University Memorial Fountain

- Jefferson County: Woodbyrne

- Morgan County: Paw Paw Black School

**Wisconsin**

-Dane County: Italian Workmen's Club

Additional documentation has been received for several resources including Memphis & Charleston Railroad Bridge in Alabama and Nurses' Home in Colorado among others.

Federal Preservation Officers have also reviewed and supported listings such as Johnstown Flood National Memorial in Pennsylvania.
