Apple has introduced the HomePod mini in a new midnight color, made with 100 percent recycled mesh fabric. Standing at just 3.3 inches tall, the HomePod mini offers substantial sound in a compact design. Its exterior features a seamless, acoustically transparent mesh and a backlit touch surface that illuminates from edge to edge.
The HomePod mini in midnight will be available starting Wednesday, July 17, joining other colors such as yellow, orange, blue, and white. Users can access over 100 million songs through Apple Music and enjoy room-filling audio with a single speaker or in stereo pairs using multiroom audio. The smart speaker can also enhance home theater experiences when paired with Apple TV 4K.
With Siri integration, users can search for music by artist, song, lyrics, decade, genre, mood, or activity. Siri also provides convenient ways to manage tasks and control smart home devices. Users can create automations, receive notifications for smoke or carbon monoxide alarms, check room temperature and humidity, and use Intercom to send announcements throughout the house hands-free.
The HomePod mini in midnight is priced at $99 (U.S.) and can be ordered from apple.com and the Apple Store app. It will be available at Apple Store locations in the U.S., Canada, mainland China, Singapore, and 28 other countries and regions starting July 17. Additionally, it will be offered through Apple Authorized Resellers and select carriers.
