Apple TV+ earns record-breaking 72 Emmy Award nominations

Apple TV+ has achieved a record 72 Emmy Award nominations across 16 Apple Originals, marking its best performance to date. The streaming service received nominations in several top categories, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series for "Lessons in Chemistry," Outstanding Drama Series for "The Morning Show" and "Slow Horses," and Outstanding Comedy Series for "Palm Royale." Additionally, the platform secured nods for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special with "STEVE! "Lessons in Chemistry" received 10 nominations overall. Brie Larson, Lewis Pullman, and Aja Naomi King earned acting nominations.

Other notable series include "Slow Horses," which garnered nine nominations including acting nods for Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden. Idris Elba was nominated for his role in "Hijack."

In comedy categories, Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph received their first-ever lead actress nominations for their roles in "Palm Royale" and "Loot," respectively.

Documentaries like "STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces" also performed well with five nominations.

Apple TV+ continues to be recognized across various craft categories. Notably, it earned its first Costume Design category nomination with entries from "Lessons in Chemistry," "Palm Royale," and "The New Look."
