Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will deliver remarks at the opening of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Private Sector Forum on Wednesday, July 24, at 9:00 a.m. EDT. The event will take place at the United States Institute of Peace.
The Private Sector Forum brings together African and American businesses to discuss enhanced trade and investment collaboration, focusing on opportunities facilitated by AGOA. This segment of the AGOA Forum is co-hosted by the United States Institute of Peace, the Corporate Council on Africa, and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The Secretary’s remarks will be livestreamed on both the Department homepage and its YouTube channel. The event is open to pre-registered writers and still photographers, with pooled video camera coverage for Secretary Blinken's speech.
