The Fiscal Year 2025 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (CJS) Appropriations Act allocates $73.735 billion in discretionary funding, marking an increase of $5.2 billion from the previous fiscal year. The bill supports a variety of programs impacting American lives.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) receives $38.426 billion to enhance community safety and uphold the rule of law. The Department of Commerce is allocated $11.544 billion to promote business development and maintain weather satellites among other responsibilities.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is granted $9.55 billion to foster scientific research and implement the CHIPS and Science Act, while NASA receives $25.434 billion for space exploration and climate change studies.

- An allocation of $11.2 billion for science and technology programs under the CHIPS and Science Act.
- Funding for NSF's research activities at $7.53 billion.
- The Department of Commerce receiving funds for various programs including the Regional Technology and Innovation Hub Program.
- Climate research support with NOAA receiving $225 million.
- NOAA weather satellites funded at $1.9 billion.
- A record-high funding level for grants by the Office on Violence Against Women at $739.5 million.
- Support for crime victims through a release of $1.9 billion from the Crime Victims Fund.
- Grants totaling $251 million for police-community relations initiatives.
Additionally, federal law enforcement agencies such as FBI, USMS, DEA, ATF receive increased funding totaling $19.4 billion.
Economic development efforts are supported with allocations including:
- Community economic development through EDA at $483 million.
- Trade facilitation by ITA with a budget of $648 million.
NASA's budget includes significant resources aimed at returning Americans to the Moon with substantial funds allocated towards Exploration missions like Artemis Campaign Development.
The Legal Services Corporation is funded at $566 million to continue providing civil legal aid services across America.
