The discussion focused on efforts to ease regional tensions and the importance of finalizing a ceasefire in Gaza. Both leaders emphasized that no party in the region should take actions that could undermine efforts to reach an agreement. They also reaffirmed the joint leaders' statement by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt.
Secretary Blinken expressed gratitude for Qatar's significant role in working towards lasting peace in the region.
