On the 64th anniversary of its independence, the United States extends congratulations to the Congolese people and President Denis Sassou N’Guesso on the Republic of the Congo's National Day.
The Republic of the Congo is recognized for its efforts in conservation and peace promotion. "From serving as a champion for conservation of the globally vital Congo Basin to promoting peace in Libya and across Africa, the Republic of the Congo remains a valued partner of the United States," stated a representative from the U.S. government.
Future collaboration between the two nations is anticipated in several areas. "I look forward to our two countries working together to strengthen maritime coordination in the Gulf of Guinea, enhance the sustainability and protection of the Congo Basin for the benefit of future generations, and promote improved governance that will drive investment in the Republic of the Congo," added another official.
The message concluded with well-wishes for continued prosperity. "On behalf of the United States, I extend my best wishes to the Republic of the Congo for a peaceful and prosperous future that benefits all Congolese people."
