The United States has extended its congratulations to Luis Abinader on his second inauguration as President of the Dominican Republic. In this election, the people of the Dominican Republic expressed their collective aspirations for prosperity, security, and democratic governance.
"Our two countries have a strong partnership and share a deep and abiding belief in the power of democratic governance to provide a healthy, prosperous, and equitable future for generations to come," stated an official release.
The U.S. anticipates continued collaboration with the Dominican Republic to strengthen institutions, advance inclusive economic growth, champion human rights, and promote good governance and security. Additionally, efforts will persist in enhancing resilience to weather- and climate-related extreme events through the U.S.-Caribbean Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis (PACC 2030) while further deepening economic ties.
