House Judiciary Committee releases report on case involving illegal immigrant accused of murder

The House Judiciary Committee and its Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement released an interim report today regarding Peruvian illegal alien Roberto Emilio Vasquez-Santamaria. Vasquez-Santamaria entered the country illegally through the southwest border and was released by the Biden-Harris Administration. He was later arrested for the murder of a Texas man.

Instead of detaining Vasquez-Santamaria, the Department of Homeland Security released him after he agreed to "not violate any local, State, or Federal laws or ordinances," "not associate with known gang members, criminal associates, or be associated with any such activity," and "not commit any crimes." Months later, Vasquez-Santamaria violated these conditions. Reports indicate that Texas Rangers arrested him in Eagle Pass, Texas, in September 2023 for allegedly bludgeoning a man to death in the backyard of a home. According to law enforcement sources, the house where the victim was discovered had been previously used in connection with migrant smuggling.

"The disastrous immigration policies of the Biden-Harris Administration have had real world consequences for American citizens," read a statement from the committee. The statement continued: "The effects of those policies will be felt for years to come, with criminal aliens in American neighborhoods harming families and hurting public safety across the country."
