On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to the people of the Kyrgyz Republic on August 31 as they celebrate Kyrgyz Independence Day.

For 33 years, we have remained committed to the Kyrgyz Republic’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence. We look forward to furthering our economic, security, and people-to-people ties, broadening our collaboration in the areas of health and education, addressing the climate crisis, and strengthening regional connectivity through the C5+1.

The United States remains committed to cooperating with the Kyrgyz people and government to strengthen institutions that cultivate respect for human rights and a free, vibrant society. We are proud of the partnership we have established with the Kyrgyz Republic, and we look forward to expanding our relationship in the years to come. U.S.-Kyrgyz friendship will be integral as we work together to build upon our shared goal of a resilient, prosperous, and secure Kyrgyz Republic.
