The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has announced the election of its 2025 Executive Board (EB) and Board of Industry Leaders (BIL). The EB serves as CTA's governing board, while the BIL is a group of industry executives who provide advice on CTA policies and events, including CES.
"We're thrilled to welcome some of the tech sector’s most innovative and influential leaders to CTA’s Executive Board and Board of Industry Leaders," stated Gary Shapiro, CEO of CTA. "These individuals and their companies are at the forefront of groundbreaking innovations that are reshaping industries and enhancing lives around the world."
Steve Downer, Vice President of Consumer Electronics at Amazon, will assume the role of EB chair. Downer joined the EB in 2021 after serving on CTA’s BIL for three years starting in 2018.
Gary Shapiro will continue his role as CEO of CTA, with Stephanie Dismore, EMEA President at AMD, serving as Vice-Chair. Dismore became part of the EB in 2023.
New members joining the EB include Christopher Emmons from Verizon, James Fishler from Samsung Electronics America, and Dr. Carlos Nunez from ResMed. Continuing members include Deena Ghazarian from Austere, Megan Myungwon Lee from Panasonic Corp., Neal Manowitz from Sony Electronics North America, Debbie Taylor Moore from Cambrian Futures, Luke Motschenbacher from Best Buy, Dr. Carmichael Roberts from Soft Robotics, and Michael Wise from NBCUniversal.
Kinsey Fabrizio remains President of CTA while Daniel Pidgeon will serve as EB treasurer. Suzanna Kang will take on the role of EB secretary with Kailey Adametz assisting.

The newest additions to the BIL include Melissa Andresko from Lutron, Matt Ater from Vispero, Eric Carreel from Withings among others. They join continuing members like Mehrdad Akbar from Walmart and Syed Alam from McKinsey & Company.
CTA remains a significant entity within North America's technology trade landscape. The organization owns CES®, a major global tech event scheduled for January 7-10 in Las Vegas next year.
