Assistant Secretary Robinson visits South America for drug control talks

Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, Todd D. Robinson, is set to visit Argentina and Uruguay from October 14 to 18. The trip aims to enhance collaborative efforts against illicit synthetic drugs and reinforce commitments to regional security.

In Buenos Aires, Robinson will engage with senior Argentine government officials, a representative from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and experts at a high-level event. The discussions will focus on combating synthetic drugs and preventing the diversion of chemical precursors.

Following his time in Argentina, Robinson will travel to Montevideo. There, he plans to meet with officials to explore strategies for improving citizen security.
