During the call, Secretary Austin emphasized the United States' continued support for Israel's right to self-defense. He highlighted that the deployment of a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system underscores "the United States' unwavering, enduring, and ironclad commitment to Israel's security."
Additionally, Secretary Austin voiced strong backing for both the immediate release of all remaining hostages and a ceasefire in Gaza.
