Premiering on November 21, the animation series "Tokyo Override" will take viewers into a futuristic Tokyo where artificial intelligence is deeply woven into everyday life. In this automated society, a group of motorbike-riding outcasts uncovers an ominous threat lurking beneath the surface.
The voice cast includes Ai Fairouz as Kai, the protagonist who joins the biker group Suma Garage. Other members include Ryota Takeuchi as Hugo, Tomoaki Maeno as Spoke, Mariya Ise as Watari, and Shigeru Chiba as Yukio. Yu Serizawa voices Ayumi, Kai's friend before meeting Suma Garage. Hochu Otsuka plays Kageyama, a narcotics agent pursuing Kai, with Miyu Irino as his subordinate Yasumoto. Yuhko Kaida voices Ieuji from Tokyo’s digital department.
Directed by Yuske Fukada and Veerapatra Jinanavin, "Tokyo Override" blends advanced animation techniques with real-life motorcycle models from Yamaha and Honda. The narrative follows Kai's involvement with Suma Garage couriers who conduct unregulated deliveries for noble causes in a seemingly perfect utopia that conceals crime and conspiracy.
The series will be available exclusively on Netflix.
