Sara Minkara, the Special Advisor on International Disability Rights, is set to visit Bogotá, Colombia from November 7-8. Her agenda includes meetings with government officials, business leaders, and civil society representatives. The discussions will focus on disability rights and inclusion across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on law enforcement.
During her visit, Minkara will engage with members of the Colombian Congress and representatives from U.S. Department of State alumni programs. She will also meet with disability rights advocates to discuss ways to enhance economic and social participation for persons with disabilities in the region.
Minkara's trip aims to reinforce the United States' role as a key partner in promoting disability rights in Colombia.
