NFIB launches ad campaign urging permanence of small business tax deduction

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has launched a new advertising campaign aimed at urging lawmakers to make the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent. This initiative comes as part of the preparations for the 2025 tax debate, targeting television and digital platforms across Washington, D.C., and several states.

The campaign highlights the Main Street Tax Certainty Act, which seeks to ensure that the deduction does not expire. It features ads with small business owners advocating for Congress to act in order to prevent what they describe as a significant tax increase on small businesses.

NFIB President Brad Close emphasized the potential negative impact on small businesses if these tax savings are removed. "Suddenly removing these tax savings will decimate America’s small businesses, who have already started pulling back in preparation for the worst. Congress must pass the Main Street Tax Certainty Act to avoid a massive tax hike on nine out of 10 small businesses," said Close.

The NFIB is encouraging individuals to sign a petition supporting this legislative action.
