The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Kevin Coughlin for election to the United States House of Representatives, representing Ohio’s 13th Congressional District. This announcement was made during a campaign event held at Empaco Equipment Corporation, a small business in Richfield and an NFIB member.
Chris Ferruso, NFIB Ohio State Director, highlighted Coughlin's track record, stating, “Kevin Coughlin demonstrated his understanding of the importance of small business issues during his time in the Ohio General Assembly, earning a NFIB Voting Record of 97%.” Ferruso further emphasized Coughlin's experience as a small business owner and his commitment to maintaining low taxes for entrepreneurs.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also expressed support for Coughlin: “Kevin Coughlin understands the issues impacting Ohio’s small businesses. As a state representative, he led efforts to cut taxes and advance pro-small business policies. He has pledged to support similar priorities in Congress, and we are proud to endorse him today.”
The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the organization's political action committee funded by voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their membership dues. The decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are managed through a grassroots evaluation process driven by its members.
