Army announces officer reassignments including key reserve roles

ORGANIZATIONS IN THIS STORY

The Chief of Staff of the Army has announced a series of new officer assignments. These changes involve several high-ranking officials taking on new roles within the U.S. Army and its Reserve components.

Maj. Gen. Keith C. Phillips will transition from his role as director for Operations at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C., to become the senior defense official and defense attaché at the U.S. Defense Attaché Office in Ukraine.

Brig. Gen. Marne L. Sutten is moving from her position as special assistant to the deputy chief of staff in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C., to director of Network Command, Control, Cyber Communications Systems Integration within the same office.

Several assignments have been made within the U.S. Army Reserve:

Brig. Gen. Thad J. Collard has been appointed as deputy commander (Troop Program Unit) at the 3rd Medical Command, Fort Gillem, Georgia. His previous roles included positions at Mobilization and Reserve Affairs in Falls Church, Virginia, and as deputy commanding general at Army Reserve Medical Command in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Brig. Gen. John M. Dreska will serve as assistant deputy chief of staff, G-4, Mobilization and Training (Individual Mobilized Augmentee) in Washington, D.C., having recently served as deputy commander (Troop Program Unit) for the 377th Theater Sustainment Command in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

Brig. Gen. Rachel E. Humphrey is now appointed as deputy commander (Troop Program Unit) for the 377th Theater Sustainment Command in Belle Chasse, Louisiana; she was previously with the 80th Training Command (The Army School System) in Richmond, Virginia.

Brig. Gen. Paul L. Kuettner has taken command of the 86th Training Division at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin; he was formerly commander (Troop Program Unit) of the 4th Brigade within the 102nd Training Division at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.

Brig. Gen. Jennifer A. Marrast-Host will be involved with Mobilization and Reserve Affairs at Falls Church and serve as deputy commanding general at Army Reserve Medical Command in Pinellas Park; she most recently worked with the 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support) in Saint Charles, Missouri.

Lastly, Brig. Gen. Sandra K. Martin has been named deputy commander - Support (Troop Program Unit) for the 412th Engineer Command Mission Support based in Vicksburg, Mississippi; her prior assignment was with U.S. Army Reserve Deployment Support Command in Birmingham, Alabama.
