The United States has extended its congratulations to the Central African Republic on its sixty-sixth national day. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken emphasized the commitment of the U.S. to advance shared objectives with the Central African Republic.
In anticipation of the country's historic local elections in 2025, Blinken highlighted an expanding state presence and progress in the peace process as focal points for continued dialogue. He stated, "The United States remains committed to dialogue with President Touadéra, his government, and the Central African people."
Blinken reiterated that the U.S. will support democracy and prosperity in the Central African Republic. He expressed a forward-looking stance by saying, "We look forward to assisting the country in realizing its potential for peace, security, and prosperity."
