During the meeting, Secretary Blinken reiterated the United States' readiness to increase training for Ukrainian forces and enhance Kyiv's defense capabilities against Russian air attacks. A memorandum of understanding was signed between the two officials, highlighting U.S. plans to provide $825 million in new energy assistance to support Ukraine's energy resilience.
The conversation also covered Ukraine's path toward full Euro-Atlantic integration, including potential NATO membership, and addressed concerns over Russia's aggression and its threat to Allies' security. Secretary Blinken reaffirmed continued U.S. support for Ukraine and its people in their fight for sovereignty and freedom.
