Hope Family Drug Summit invites WV families impacted by substance use disorder

West Virginia will host the HOPE Family Drug Summit on January 15, 2025, at the University of Charleston. This event is open to families in West Virginia who have been affected by Substance Use Disorder (SUD). The summit aims to offer opportunities for survivors, their families, and professionals in the field to exchange information, establish connections, and enhance partnerships. The goal is to provide hope and support for those dealing with SUD and their families.

The event will gather a variety of stakeholders from across the state. It is designed to address the comprehensive needs of families impacted by substance use disorders and individuals seeking recovery. The audience includes family members affected by SUD, recovery professionals, social workers, school personnel, victim advocates, and others who offer services to these communities.

Several organizations are sponsoring this free summit in partnership. These include the Drug Enforcement Administration's Louisville Division, Federal Public Defender’s Office SDWV, First Choice Services, Jobs & Hope West Virginia, Legal Aid of West Virginia, Mission West Virginia, West Virginia Center for Children’s Justice, West Virginia Department of Homeland Security, West Virginia Fusion Center, West Virginia Public Defender Services, and the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.
