Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez is set to visit Panama from December 15-16. His visit aims to participate in a meeting of the Alliance for Development in Democracy (ADD). During his stay, he will engage with trade ministers, senior officials, members of the ADD Business Council, and representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank. The discussions will focus on economic cooperation and strengthening regional supply chains.
Furthermore, Under Secretary Fernandez plans to meet with Panamanian government officials to explore greater collaboration in semiconductors, logistics, and maritime operations. He will also hold meetings with business leaders to encourage U.S. investment and trade diversification in sectors such as medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
