Matthew Logan Frame, a 38-year-old resident of Buckhannon, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 165 months in federal prison for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. This decision was made today in Elkins, West Virginia.

The incident leading to Frame's arrest began at a gas station in Belington, West Virginia. Law enforcement responded to reports of shots fired and attempted to stop Frame's vehicle. A chase ensued, culminating in a crash where officers apprehended Frame. He was found with two bags of methamphetamine on his person. Additional quantities of the drug and cash were discovered during a search of his vehicle.

Following his prison term, Frame will undergo five years of supervised release.

The investigation involved several agencies including the Mountain Region Drug Task Force—a HIDTA-funded initiative—as well as the Barbour County Sheriff's Office and the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner led the prosecution for this case, which was overseen by Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh.
