Steven Raymon Waller, a 46-year-old resident of Sacramento, has been sentenced to 39 months in prison for access device fraud. The sentencing was delivered by U.S. District Judge Dale A. Drozd.
Court documents reveal that between November 2017 and March 2019, Waller used stolen credit card numbers to purchase gift cards worth at least $927,000 from a national retailer.
In addition to the prison term, Judge Drozd mandated that Waller serve three years of supervised release following his incarceration. He is also required to pay restitution amounting to $927,000 to the affected retailer.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation leading to this case. Assistant United States Attorney Nicholas M. Fogg was responsible for prosecuting the case.
