The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is urging small business owners to participate actively in the upcoming election. With Election Day approaching, the organization emphasizes the importance of voting for candidates who support small business interests at both state and federal levels.
Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, highlighted the significance of these elections: “Keep in mind that other elections do matter…When we talk about be the Voice [of small business], it’s looking at all levels of government. The bottom line is that it’s crucial to vote for those candidates who support small business and to be informed on the issues important to business owners.”
The NFIB provides resources through its Elections Center, which offers tools for identifying and engaging with pro-small business candidates. The political team at NFIB monitors campaigns nationwide to endorse candidates based on their stance on small business issues, irrespective of party affiliation.
As part of their efforts, NFIB is deploying teams across key states to encourage members to vote for candidates endorsed by the NFIB PAC. These teams will meet members directly, providing them with a Voter Guide exclusive to NFIB members. This initiative aims to facilitate discussions on how the election impacts their businesses and answer any queries before November 5.
