U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans | U.S. Department of Justice
A man from Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for producing child sexual abuse videos. U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced the sentencing of Jayden D. D. Hall, aged 23, from Harvey, Louisiana. Hall had previously pleaded guilty to charges involving the production and transportation of materials related to the sexual exploitation of children.
Hall was charged with one count of Production of Materials Involving the Sexual Exploitation of Children and three counts of Transportation of Materials Involving the Sexual Exploitation of Children. Court documents revealed that Hall created child sexual abuse videos and distributed them via social media.
United States District Judge Jay C. Zainey sentenced Hall to 25 years in prison for the production count and 20 years for each transportation count, to be served concurrently with the production sentence. Additionally, Hall received five years of supervised release following his imprisonment and was ordered to pay a $100 mandatory special assessment fee for each count.
The case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project involves federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals who exploit children online while identifying and rescuing victims.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office acknowledged assistance from several agencies: the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Homeland Security Investigations; the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation; the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Strategic Engagement Team; and the New Orleans Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas D. Moses led the prosecution.
