Two men have been charged in connection with a drug trafficking conspiracy on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, as announced by United States Attorney Andrew M. Luger. Bobby Lee Donnell, 46, and Jordan Lee Lussier, 29, face charges for allegedly conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.
The charges stem from an incident on September 4, 2024, when Donnell and Lussier were stopped by the Minnesota State Patrol. Upon inspection of their driver’s licenses, it was found that both had been revoked. Additionally, there was an outstanding warrant for Lussier's arrest. A search of their vehicle uncovered more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and over 40 grams of fentanyl.
Both individuals have been indicted on one count of conspiracy to possess methamphetamine and fentanyl with the intent to distribute. An arraignment and motions hearing is set for January 24, 2025.
The case is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Campbell Warner following an investigation by the FBI, Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
"An indictment is merely an allegation," stated the press release, emphasizing that "all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law."
