Kamaro Campbell, a 42-year-old resident of Albany, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for drug and firearm offenses. The sentencing was announced by United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Special Agent in Charge Frank A. Tarentino III of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) New York Division.

On June 28, 2023, agents executed a search warrant at Campbell's residence, discovering 105 grams of fentanyl, 95 grams of cocaine, and a fanny pack containing a loaded pistol along with $15,000 inside his bedroom closet. A subsequent search of his storage unit revealed an additional 105 grams of cocaine. Campbell admitted to selling another 155 grams of cocaine and 74 grams of methamphetamine.

United States District Judge Anne M. Nardacci imposed a five-year term of supervised release following Campbell's prison sentence and ordered him to forfeit the pistol found in his apartment. The DEA had previously administratively forfeited the $15,000 cash discovered during the search.

The case was investigated by the DEA and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan S. Reiner.
