A St. Louis man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for a series of restaurant robberies, according to a ruling by U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Clark on Thursday. Kammeron Davis was convicted of robbing three restaurants and attempting to rob a fourth.

The trial, held in May, presented evidence and testimony showing that Davis robbed a Penn Station restaurant at gunpoint in St. Louis on September 13, 2020. This incident occurred less than a month after his release from parole for a previous robbery at the same chain in 2009. On September 16, 2020, Davis attempted an armed robbery at a Subway restaurant in Maplewood but was thwarted by an employee wielding a broom. Shortly thereafter, he successfully robbed another Subway in St. Louis by jumping over the counter and taking money from the register. On September 20, Davis, along with another individual, committed another robbery at a different Subway location in St. Louis.

Video footage captured the robberies and the vehicle used by Davis. Additionally, three individuals identified him as the perpetrator during court proceedings. The jury found Davis guilty of three counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery, and three counts of brandishing a firearm during these crimes.

Judge Clark ordered Davis to pay $4,788 in restitution to three restaurants and two employees affected by the robberies.

The investigation involved the FBI, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and the Maplewood Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Donald Boyce led the prosecution.

This case falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities. In May 2021, this strategy was reinforced to enhance community trust and support organizations focused on violence prevention.
