Terell Davis, a repeat offender from North Little Rock, Arkansas, has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for illegal possession of ammunition. The announcement was made by Jonathan D. Ross, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. The sentence was issued by United States District Judge Billy Roy Wilson on Thursday.

Davis, aged 40, entered a guilty plea on February 20, 2024, admitting to being a felon in possession of ammunition. Alongside the prison term, Judge Wilson imposed three years of supervised release. Davis had been indicted on February 7, 2023, facing one count related to ammunition possession.

The case stems from an investigation initiated after a shooting incident on August 9, 2022. Officers from the North Little Rock Police Department executed a search warrant at Davis's residence during their inquiry. This search uncovered various types and calibers of ammunition and several high-capacity drum magazines.

At the time of this offense, Davis was on parole and had prior convictions including manslaughter and drug-related charges among others.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives led the investigation with support from the North Little Rock Police Department.
