Anthony V. Giambrone, a former teacher from Kenmore, New York, has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for possession of child pornography involving prepubescent minors. U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara delivered the sentence, which also includes an order for Giambrone to pay $16,000 in restitution to the victims.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango revealed that Giambrone, who previously worked with Erie One BOCES at Maryvale Intermediate School, was found in possession of images and videos on two laptops in April 2020. The materials included approximately 1,052 images and 381 videos depicting child pornography.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia and the Town of Tonawanda Police Department led by Chief James Stauffiger.
