Honduran national pleads guilty to unlawful reentry in Oklahoma

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has announced that Adelby Isloa Martinez Mendez, a 35-year-old from Honduras, has pleaded guilty to one count of unlawful reentry of a removed alien.

According to the indictment, Martinez Mendez was found in the United States on or about March 5, 2024. He had previously been deported and removed from the country on two occasions.

The case was investigated by the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office along with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement Division.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson accepted Martinez Mendez's plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The judge ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed while Martinez Mendez remains in custody under the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.
