Ardmore man pleads guilty to federal firearm charge

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma has reported that Michael Adrian Wrenn, a 36-year-old resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm charge. Wrenn admitted to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

According to the Information, on December 9, 2023, Wrenn was found in possession of a semiautomatic 9mm caliber pistol. This occurred after he had been previously convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment exceeding one year.

The case resulted from an investigation conducted by the Ardmore Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Wrenn's plea in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The judge has ordered a presentence investigation report and decided that Wrenn will remain in custody under the United States Marshals Service until sentencing.
