Wichita residents face charges for series of Kansas bank robberies

A man and a woman from Wichita, Kansas, have been charged in connection with several bank robberies involving the use of a firearm. According to court documents, Zane Tilcock, aged 20, faces three counts of bank robbery, while Emily Wise, aged 18, is charged with one count.

Tilcock is accused of using a firearm to rob three banks in December 2024. The incidents allegedly took place at Intrust Bank on South Webb Road in Wichita on December 11, Emprise Bank on East Harry Street in Wichita on December 16, and Sunflower Bank on North Jefferson Street in Junction City on December 27.

Wise is accused of participating in the robbery at Emprise Bank in Wichita on December 16, 2024.

The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Wichita Police Department, Junction City Police Department, and the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kari Burks is leading the prosecution.

Authorities remind that an indictment is merely an allegation and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
