President Joe Biden has addressed the ongoing wildfires in West Los Angeles, expressing his concern and commitment to aiding the affected areas. In a statement, President Biden confirmed that he is receiving regular updates on the situation and is coordinating with state and local officials.
"My team and I are in touch with state and local officials, and I have offered any federal assistance that is needed to help suppress the terrible Pacific Palisades fire," stated President Biden. He further announced that FEMA has approved a Fire Management Assistance Grant to assist impacted areas and support California's immediate firefighting expenses.
The President emphasized his administration's dedication to supporting the response efforts. "My Administration will do everything it can to support the response," he assured.
Additionally, President Biden urged residents of Pacific Palisades and surrounding Los Angeles areas to remain alert and heed instructions from local authorities.
