Glenn Raymond Breeden, a 56-year-old resident of Orlando, Florida, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison and will face a lifetime of supervised release. The sentence was delivered by U.S. District Court Judge Howard C. Nielson, Jr., following Breeden's guilty plea in June 2024 to charges of coercion and enticement or attempted coercion and enticement.

Court documents reveal that in January 2024, Breeden traveled from Florida to Utah with the intention of engaging in sexual activity with a minor. He communicated via cell phone with an undercover officer posing as the father of a child under the age of 12. Upon arriving at a hotel in Salt Lake City for the planned meeting, Breeden was arrested by law enforcement officers.

The investigation was conducted by the West Valley Police Department and the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. Assistant United States Attorney Joey Blanch prosecuted the case on behalf of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Utah.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project aims to enhance efforts at federal, state, and local levels to apprehend individuals exploiting children online and rescue victims.
