NFIB members vote on key state issues for 2025

NFIB members across the United States are now participating in the 2025 NFIB Member Ballot, which focuses on state issues. On January 7, 2025, members in various states, including Alaska, California, and New York, received notifications via email or fax to cast their votes. Those residing in other states had access to their ballots since December.

For over 75 years, the NFIB has maintained a "One Member, One Vote" policy for both state and federal matters. The outcomes of these votes play a crucial role in shaping the organization's advocacy efforts at all levels of government.

This year's ballot addresses key topics such as energy choice, workplace regulations related to heat and temperature, greenhouse emissions reporting, the right to disconnect from work communications after hours, and mandates concerning workplace violence. When a significant majority supports an issue, it becomes a priority for the state's advocacy team.

Only NFIB members are eligible to vote on these ballots. Non-members interested in influencing these decisions are encouraged to join the organization. The membership registration process is brief and enables participation in shaping NFIB's future initiatives.
