Clinton Williams, a 48-year-old resident of Chicago, Illinois, has been sentenced to 108 months in prison. The sentencing was delivered by United States District Court Judge Gretchen S. Lund following Williams' guilty plea to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribution of heroin and fentanyl. This announcement was made by United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.
In addition to the prison term, Williams will undergo four years of supervised release. Case documents reveal that between August 2021 and June 2022, Williams participated in a conspiracy involving the distribution of heroin mixed with fentanyl. His involvement included five controlled purchases of the substance.
The investigation into this case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Gang Response Investigative Team. The prosecution was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Michael J. Toth and Special Assistant United States Attorney Patrick D. Grindlay.
