Sacaton man receives 15-year sentence for shooting death

Tyshon Andrew Redcloud Norris, a 23-year-old resident of Sacaton, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Susan M. Brnovich. Following his prison term, Norris will also undergo three years of supervised release.

The incident occurred on November 12, 2021, when Norris, a member of the Gila River Indian Community, shot and killed the victim. Norris entered a guilty plea for voluntary manslaughter on October 29, 2024.

The investigation into the case was carried out by the Gila River Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorneys Raynette Logan and Amanda Tesarek from the District of Arizona in Phoenix managed the prosecution.
