Trump designates Robert Salesses as acting Secretary of Defense

Mr. Robert Salesses has been designated by President Donald J. Trump to serve as Acting Secretary of Defense. He assumed the functions and duties of the office at 12:01 p.m. on January 20th. In his permanent role, Mr. Salesses serves as the Deputy Director of Washington Headquarters Services.
