President Trump addressed reporters before departing on Marine One from the South Lawn. He announced plans to visit North Carolina and Los Angeles, highlighting ongoing issues in both locations.
"We’re going to North Carolina," Trump stated, referring to the aftermath of a hurricane that occurred almost four months ago. "North Carolina has been treated very badly, so we’re stopping there."
In Los Angeles, he plans to inspect a fire situation. "A fire that could have been put out if they let the water flow," he said.
When asked about inviting Adam Schiff on his trip after calling him “scum,” Trump replied, "I don’t know... I didn’t invite him. Somebody did."
The President was also questioned about Pete Hegseth losing two Republican votes. "He’s a good man," Trump commented. "I hope he makes it."
Trump mentioned his support for the March for Life event and noted Vice President JD Vance's attendance: "JD Vance... is going to be representing us very well."
Addressing questions about tariffs with Italy, Trump remarked, "Well, I like her very much. Let’s see what happens."
