Marterrious Tyresse Hannah and Jaimon Tywan Hannah, both 22 and from Lancaster County, have admitted their involvement in an armed robbery at a local vape shop. Marterrious has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the crime. Jaimon has pleaded guilty to the armed robbery charge.
The investigation revealed that on July 31, 2023, the brothers arranged to visit the vape shop intending to purchase a handgun from a clerk they knew. During the transaction, Jaimon brandished a gun and robbed the clerk. While inside, two other men entered through the open door and assisted in the robbery. The group stole a safe containing money, cash from the clerk, and vape products. Surveillance footage showed at least two defendants were armed. They also took the firearm intended for purchase which was later used in a violent crime in North Carolina.
Both face up to 20 years in federal prison, fines up to $250,000, restitution payments, and five years of supervised release following imprisonment. United States District Judge Mary Geiger Lewis accepted their guilty pleas and will sentence them after reviewing a report from the U.S. Probation Office.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence by fostering community trust and setting strategic enforcement priorities.
The FBI Columbia Field Office led the investigation with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney William K. Witherspoon is prosecuting.
