Missouri man pleads guilty to transporting minor for prostitution

A Missouri man has admitted to transporting a minor across state lines for prostitution. JoeMarius Green, 24, entered a guilty plea in the U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one felony count related to this offense. His co-defendant, Chantel Robinson, 20, had previously pleaded guilty in November to possession of child pornography.

As part of his plea agreement, Green confessed to taking a female minor and others from Dallas to Kansas City on February 12, 2023, with the intent of engaging them in prostitution during the Super Bowl. He then transported the victim and others to a hotel in the St. Louis area for similar activities. Green also admitted to managing online ads for prostitution, renting hotel rooms, setting prices for sex acts, and collecting all cash proceeds from these acts.

Robinson acknowledged her involvement in commercial sex acts and admitted to taking sexually explicit photos of minors and posting advertisements online. She was responsible for overseeing the minors' activities when Green was not present.

Green's sentencing is set for June 25, with potential penalties ranging from 10 years to life imprisonment. Robinson will be sentenced on April 8 and faces up to 20 years in prison.

The investigation was conducted by the St. Louis County Police Department and the FBI. Assistant U.S. Attorney Dianna Edwards is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project coordinates resources at federal, state, and local levels to prosecute offenders exploiting children via the Internet while identifying and rescuing victims.
