Timothy M. O’Shea, the United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Misael Dominguez Adorno from Beloit, Wisconsin, has been sentenced to 22 and a half years in federal prison for producing child pornography. This sentence will be followed by 25 years of supervised release. Dominguez Adorno pleaded guilty to the charge on October 9, 2024.
In November 2022, a CyberTip led Beloit Police to investigate Dominguez Adorno's residence after it was reported that sexually explicit images were uploaded from there. A search warrant allowed officers to seize multiple electronic devices including cell phones, iPads, computers, and flash drives.
The analysis of these devices revealed videos showing Dominguez Adorno engaged in sexually explicit activities with five minors. Officers identified these victims and also discovered that Dominguez Adorno had received explicit images from a sixth minor.
U.S. District Judge William M. Conley remarked on the manipulative nature of Dominguez Adorno's actions towards his young victims and noted his lack of awareness regarding the impact on their lives.
The investigation involved the Beloit Police Department, the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman prosecuted the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood (PSC), an initiative aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts across federal, state, and local levels to apprehend offenders and rescue victims. More information about PSC can be found at www.justice.gov/psc.
