Apple has announced the opening of its new store, Apple Miami Worldcenter, in downtown Miami on January 24. This store offers a location for customers to explore and purchase Apple products. It provides services such as Apple Trade In, carrier activation, and personalized setup for the iPhone 16.
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple's senior vice president of Retail and People, stated: “Miami is a city with a history, culture, and life all its own, and we are thrilled to capture that energy with Apple Miami Worldcenter in downtown Miami.” She added that the new store aims to bring "Apple values to life" while celebrating Miami's creativity through various in-store sessions.
The building is constructed using environmentally friendly materials like regionally sourced mass timber. The operations are run entirely on renewable energy and maintain carbon neutrality. The design incorporates biophilic elements to connect visitors with surrounding green spaces inspired by Latin American influences.
Accessibility is a key focus at this location. Features include varied table heights for product discovery and support routes accommodating wheelchair users. A portable hearing loop enhances accessibility for those using hearing aids.
A unique feature of this store is the dedicated Apple Pickup area allowing online purchases to be collected conveniently in-store. To mark its opening, special Today at Apple sessions will highlight environmental design aspects alongside Made for Business events led by local business owners.
Customers can participate in Group Booking sessions at Today at Apple events or view new products like the iPhone 16 lineup and other devices powered by the M4 chip. A team exceeding 150 employees will assist with product education and financing options.
This store marks Apple's tenth location in Miami as part of their expansion across South Florida. With nearly 2,000 employees already working in the region, Apple's community engagement includes partnerships such as one with Miami Dade College aimed at educational opportunities.
The doors of Apple Miami Worldcenter will open to customers starting January 24 at 10 a.m.
