Jeffrey Paden sentenced to ten years for child pornography possession

U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that Jeffrey Paden, a 58-year-old resident of Kennedy, New York, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison for possession of child pornography following a prior conviction. The sentence was handed down by Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who managed the case, detailed that Paden had previously been convicted in June 2015 on federal charges related to child pornography and was sentenced to 57 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release.

On August 29, 2023, authorities executed a search warrant at Paden's home based on information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). During the search, several electronic devices were confiscated, including a thumb drive and a laptop computer. Investigators found approximately 83 images of child pornography on the thumb drive and around 468 images on the laptop computer. Some images depicted prepubescent minors and violence against children.

The investigation leading to this sentencing involved collaboration between the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, led by Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia; the New York State Police under Major Amie P. Feroleto; and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
