Jairo Jaime Tinajero, a 25-year-old self-identified member of the 764 network, has pleaded guilty in the Western District of Kentucky to multiple charges including racketeering conspiracy, online enticement, and several counts related to child sexual abuse material. The plea agreement acknowledges the applicability of a terrorism sentencing enhancement.
Tinajero was initially charged by a grand jury on October 11, 2023, following his arrest in Arkansas earlier that month. Court documents reveal Tinajero's involvement with the 764 network, which aims for social unrest and the collapse of current governmental structures. Starting in 2020, he groomed minors for sexually explicit content and threatened one victim identified as Jane Doe 1.
In mid-2023, Tinajero conspired with an accomplice to murder Jane Doe 1. Discussions included plans to kill her and dispose of her body using acid. He also posted threats on social media platforms indicating his intent to carry out these actions.
On August 26, 2023, Tinajero made alarming posts on Telegram expressing his determination to die if necessary after killing Jane Doe 1. His online activity continued into September with further threats and solicitations for assistance in carrying out the murder plot.
The FBI is leading the investigation into this case. Prosecution efforts are being managed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Erwin Roberts from Kentucky along with Trial Attorneys Justin Sher and James Donnelly from the National Security Division’s Counterterrorism Section. Additional support is provided by divisions specializing in violent crime and racketeering.
