Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents recently apprehended two men, both convicted of felony sex offenses against children, in separate incidents. The arrests occurred last week in Arizona.

In the first incident, agents from the Three Points Station detained two individuals near San Miguel, Arizona. Records checks revealed that one was a Mexican national with multiple criminal convictions in Connecticut, including felonies for intercourse with kin under 16 and risk of injury to a child.

The following day, a Casa Grande Station motorcycle unit captured another individual in Arizona's western desert. This person was identified as a Honduran citizen with multiple felony convictions in Kansas for rape of a child under 14 and aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Both individuals had been previously deported from the United States and now face felony charges for re-entry as removed aggravated felons before being deported again.

Tucson Sector Chief Parol Agent Sean McGoffin commented on the arrests: “I am proud of our agents for keeping these dangerous individuals out of Arizona communities. This is a stark reminder of why border security is national security.”
