U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross has announced the sentencing of Frank E. Noeson III, a former teacher from Holland, New York. Noeson, aged 47, was convicted on charges of receiving child pornography and will serve a prison term of 120 months followed by 30 years of supervised release. The sentence was delivered by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who managed the prosecution, detailed that Noeson had been employed as a fifth-grade teacher at an elementary school when he engaged in inappropriate communications with minors via Snapchat. One victim was 16 years old at the time these interactions began and was persuaded to produce and send sexually explicit images and videos to Noeson. Another victim involved in the case was a 15-year-old female who also sent numerous pornographic images and videos during their exchanges on Snapchat.
The investigation leading to Noeson's conviction was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Buffalo Office Child Exploitation Human Trafficking Task Force under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia's leadership, along with assistance from the FBI Miami Field Office and the Tonawanda Police Department led by Chief James Stauffiger.
