Eddie Damian-Guillen, a 38-year-old Guatemalan national, has been sentenced to 23 months in prison for illegal reentry into the United States. The sentence was handed down on February 13, 2025, by United States District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion.
Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus reported that Damian-Guillen was discovered at Pike County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania after being arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He had previously been deported from the United States in 2003, 2004, and again in 2020. His most recent removal followed a conviction for first-degree assault in Connecticut, where he ran over a victim with his car after a bar fight.
Damian-Guillen is set to be deported once more upon completing his prison term.
The investigation was conducted by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle A. Moreno led the prosecution.
